Reproduction Preferences Additional Information | Reproductive season varies according to location. In the Mediterranean the main season is August to October, with larvae prsent September to November. Around Plymouth the reproductive season varies with species, P.serratus breeding between February and November, whilst P.elegans is seen to breed from May to August. The larvae take 1-2 months before settling, with peaks occuring in recruitment from July to August (UK), and October to December (Med). |
